Drone Team

The drone team is new to RAS this year, as the team is currently working on developing a high speed drone to attempt to break the 200 mph mark. This team will work on maximizing propeller geometry, minimize drag, minimize weight, and use control logic to ensure that the drone will be able to reach the maximum speed possible. Currently the team is working on improving the understanding of it’s new members, who are currently unfamiliar with aerodynamics and mechanical systems such as CAD, but the second semester will focus on translating these concepts into a mechanical design.
